Joanna’s approach is non-judgmental, compassionate, body-based, inclusive, and LGBTQIA-affirmative. As a trauma-informed therapist, she provides individual and relationship psychotherapy, interweaving therapeutic methods including Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Whether you're dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship issues, she's here to support you with warmth, intuition, and empathy.
Joanna holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Also, she works with clients who need a higher level of care in IOP and PHP settings. She enjoys working with adults and teens on various issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, life transitions, and neurodiversity. She is also trained to guide and offer psychedelic integration sessions. Her therapeutic approaches include attachment work, depth-oriented psychotherapy, trauma and body-based therapies, feminist approaches, liberation psychologies, mindfulness, and insight-based therapies. All the therapy she provides is evidence-supported and designed to be empowering, focusing on de-pathologizing the person.
