Leah Smith, Somatic Therapist
As a trauma-informed somatic therapist, I provide individual and relationship psychotherapy using methods that support a body-mind approach like Somatic Experiencing and NeuroAffective Touch. My goal is to help people who feel burnt out and disconnected from themselves learn to listen to their bodies and develop an internal compass they can trust. My approach helps people discover their authentic selves, find meaning in life, and be more assertive in their relationships and careers while also emphasizing the importance of laughter and self-compassion. By slowing down and exploring the felt sense in the body, I teach people how to release the traumatic energy the body has been storing. However, healing trauma isn’t just about processing pain but also about discovering what makes you laugh and finding things that spark your joy.
Therapy doesn’t have to feel scary and hard. It can feel like a relief, like finally coming home after being on a long journey.
